How does RSS work? RSS is a relatively simple concept. Take the full name Real Simple Syndication or RSS. Basically RSS speeds up how you access information on the internet, before you had to visit various sites to get the latest news, sports results and updates from your favourite blogs. This would usually take time and could lead to you following other links and getting distracted. How RSS works is that the computer checks the sites for you and fetch all the latest updates to one place, all you have to do it tell the software which sites (or feeds) you want it to search for updates on. If you sign up for google reader (free) all you have to do is go to the site you want to set up a feed for and look for the RSS button ( a red/orange button with white curving lines), click this link and you will be taken to a sub page where you can choose your reader and confirm your subscription. Simple. Now all you have to do is log into google reader and any site updates will be shown in one place. ;o)
